From G-Code to Object: How a 3D Print Is Born

Every object we sell begins its life as pure geometry — a 3D model drawn in CAD software, spun around, stretched, and refined until it looks right from every angle.
But a printer cannot read a 3D model. It needs instructions: how hot to run the nozzle, where to move, how fast, when to extrude and when to travel. That translation is done by a program called a slicer, which cuts the model into hundreds or thousands of horizontal layers and writes a movement plan for each one. The output is G-code — a long text file of simple commands like "move to this point at this speed while extruding this much plastic." A single figurine can be half a million lines of it.
The printer then performs those instructions with complete obedience, one layer at a time. A 0.4 mm nozzle lays down molten filament that fuses to the layer below and solidifies in seconds. Watch it for a minute and nothing seems to happen; come back in six hours and there is an object where there was empty air.
What we love about this process — and why we named the studio after it — is its honesty. Every curve you feel on a finished piece was described in code that we wrote or tuned. The machine provides precision; the design decides whether the result is worth printing. That part stays human.
